Sick Care vs Health Care - Fiber Fueled explorations with Kathy Taylor

I'm so happy that we will be meeting next week to read and discuss Fiber Fueled, by Dr. Will Bulsiewicz. After I finished reading it two years ago, I remember telling myself, "This is my handbook for health!" I knew it would be an essential reference book for personal healing and vitality.



Why read Fiber Fueled now? Dr. B shows us that an overwhelming explosion of scientific research in the last decade proves that eating fiber-rich plant foods will:

The cost of taking 14 daily prescription drugs, as well as many over the counter meds and supplements was expensive and also created unwanted side effects!


Transitioning to a Fiber Fueled, Whole Plant Food Lifestyle during the past three years has eliminated ALL of those diseases and medications and helped me lose over 200 pounds! The information in this book is life saving and full of hope!



In our modern society we enjoy many advancements in technology and science. Unfortunately, we have been brain-washed by big business advertising. Shiny, colorful packaging conceals overly processed foods stripped of natural fiber, which Dr. B calls, “the heart and soul of true gut healing.” I no longer want to punish myself with poisons, disguised as food, taking away health with every bite.


Going to the doctor puts us into the “Sick Care System,” not the Health Care System. Traditionally trained doctors “practice medicine,” not disease prevention and nutritional intervention. Since 70% of our immune system resides in the gut, it is essential for us to protect our defenses by eating a broad variety of fresh, whole, fiber-rich foods. Kathy Taylor loves to learn and share! She earned a Masters’ Degree in Integrating the Arts, M.Ed., from Leslie University, Cambridge, Mass., and completed her Plant Based Nutrition Certification from The T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies, Cornell University. She has taught for many years in Middle School, Elementary and College classrooms. During two years of concentrated study, effort and twenty-six weeks of training at True North Health Center in Santa Rosa, CA, Kathy was able to lose over 200 pounds using medically supervised water-only fasting and WFPB eating. She is a proud member of The National Health Association.
