Self-Care Ideas - the natural way

Claiming a few moments for ourselves each day fulfills our interpersonal dimension by ensuring that we put our own wellness as a priority on a regular basis. This care need not be extravagant or difficult, it can take place in a single moment and can help to bring calm and balance into our daily lives.

During our Modified Fasting Programs, participants are asked to claim these moments each and every day and we provide them with some ideas and recipes that can help them achieve that goal. We would like to share some of those ideas with you, the 6D Community in the hopes that we will all begin to claim more moments in which we focus on our own wellness and balance.


Daily Body Brushing – follow the video guidelines and then simply rinse your body with water afterwards ... Brush until your skin tingles and becomes ‘pink’; but not until it becomes painful and ‘red’

Salt Soaks – using magnesium salts (Epsom), soak in hot water to boost your magnesium levels and cleanse the skin; you can add lovely essential oils and apple cider vinegar to your bathwater if you like as well

Use 1 – 2 cups of magnesium salts per bath

Use 1 cup of ACV (if you choose)

Mouthwash – rinse/gargle with this wash as up to three times daily


1 part Hydrogen Peroxide

2 parts Pure Water (not distilled)

Peppermint Essential Oil (as many drops as you like!)

Body Spray – use liberally at any time to boost magnesium levels as well as a natural deodorant; spray on sore muscles and joints if you experience cramps or aches

1 part Water (any kind)

2 parts Milk of Magnesia

Lavender Essential Oil (as many drops as you like!)

Diaphragmatic Breathing

Take a minute (or five!) to lie back and focus on the movement of your breath in your body. Watch the video to learn how to practice this breathing technique as well why it is so beneficial for your health.

Moisturizer – use liberally at any time and on any part of the body

1 Cup Coconut Oil

1 Cup Almond Oil

¼ Cup Shea Butter or Cacao Butter

30 drops Essential Oil (aroma of your choosing!)

Place all ingredients in a glass jar (heat resistant)

Place the jar in a pot with water and heat until all ingredients are melted

Pour into a glass baking dish and allow to cool

Scoop cooled mixture into a food processor and blend until creamy

Place in an air-tight container in the refrigerator (it will harden)

Store up to six months in the refrigerator
