Conquering Cravings with Tami & Sia

Plant Living Made Easy with Tami Kramer & Sia Hurst

LIVE on the Nutmeg Notebook YouTube Channel

Tuesday 2 April

11:00am PST

Our discussion on 2 April is the fourth in a series which will endeavor to encourage, inform and support those who are plant curious, plant centric or those who are currently living a plant-based lifestyle.

There is always more to learn and when we all come together for these discussions, we will have an opportunity to share struggles, solutions, tips, hacks and above all, knowledge. And we will do this in a respectful and loving community.

Our discussion on 2 April will focus on our cravings – you know the ‘little’ goodies we feel we ‘need’ at certain times. What drives these cravings – is it body or mind – or is it both? Last week we discussed The Pleasure Trap and about how we are wired for pleasure seeking activities. We crave pleasure – that is why it can be difficult to remove drugs like sugar, salt and oil from our nutritional choices. Never fear – there are solutions and we will discuss those during the show!

We will also discuss how we have addressed our own cravings in our journeys, how we avoid triggers and what we do when cravings actually occur. This is both a physical and mental battle and we will discuss together what that means for our ability to successfully remove ‘cravings’ from our lives.

Our Topics for Discussion – Food Cravings – How to Handle Cravings

• The difference between true hunger and cravings?

• Triggers for cravings – focus on getting all five flavors each day

• Triggers imply addiction – we must realize the truth of our addictions

• Avoid triggers for cravings by shopping online, grocery delivery or curbside pickup, let another family member do the shopping

• What to do when cravings strike!

Join Tami & Sia every Tuesday live on the Nutmeg Notebook YouTube channel to explore how we can all succeed in living a plant centric lifestyle.

You can also RSVP to receive weekly reminders, discussion topic ideas as well relevant links to more information and ways to actively pursue living this lifestyle - and living longer as well!
