Your guide for this seminar series is Sia Hurst, a certified coach on the topic of Intermittent Fasting. Sia has been practicing intermittent fasting for over six years and will guide you through the process of intermittent fasting and why we should all be practicing this for optimal health.
All Meetings take place on Zoom at 8:00amPST / 11:00amEST
First Meeting:
Wednesday, November 4th
Final Meeting:
Wednesday, December 2nd
During our five weeks together we will learn AND PRACTICE intermittent fasting. Practice really does make the difference as we begin to understand the magical impact of allowing our digestive system to work (and rest) properly. Each participant will choose an IF window which fits their daily life schedule and could range from 12:12 to 20:4 (though a 20:4 window is NOT recommended for people over the age of 60). Sia practices a 16:8 IF window, meaning she fasts for 16 hours each day (many of those hours are spent sleeping at night!) and she eats for 8 hours each day, spreading out her meals to fit her lifestyle. Each participant will commit to a daily practice of IF. Yes, we will all 'slip up' from time to time and we will practice grace and patience with ourselves as we move forward to integrating IF as a lifestyle.
There are no specific dietary requirements during this seminar series and there is no 'menu plan' which needs to be followed. This seminar series is focused strictly on the daily practice of intermittent fasting, though some guidance of how to 'break your fast' (otherwise known as breakfast) and how to end your fast (your final meal for the day) will be provided, what you eat and how you eat is completely up to you. This is not about optimal nutrition, this is about optimal digestion!
You may experience some side effects during these five weeks. Side effects may include, but are not limited to, the following:
